The Old Growth Forest exhibit talks about Old growth forest which typically include things like Buttress roots, Mixed aged trees, Dead trees on ground, Broccoli top, Antique bark and No signs of farming or logging It discusses the Natural cycles of tree decay and Recyclers like Fungi, White rot fungi decay dead trees Dead trees provide homes and food for Insects who live in the decaying trees and new trees grow in nutrient rich soil left by decaying trees.
